Our organization was founded on the belief that those who served deserve access to meaningful support systems that promote stability, dignity, and opportunity.
We work directly with Veterans and their families to connect them with resources, provide guidance, and foster a strong network of community support.

Kenneth L. Heyward, MHA
Founder & CEO
With a heart for service and a background in healthcare administration, Kenneth leads Grateful Heart with strategic vision, operational excellence, and unwavering advocacy for Veterans. Kenneth’s vision extends beyond paperwork. He believes that disability benefits are often the gateway to greater stability — access to healthcare, housing security, financial independence, and restored dignity. Under his leadership, Grateful Heart prioritizes integrity, accountability, and measurable impact while remaining deeply rooted in community partnership across Prince George’s County.
