1. Our Role as an Information Conduit

Grateful Heart helps veterans understand, organize, and navigate the VA disability claims process and connects veterans to community resources. We are not a direct service provider, do not provide legal or medical advice, and do not act as an accredited VA representative (VSO, agent, or attorney) unless separately and properly authorized in writing.

2. Voluntary Participation

Your participation is voluntary. You may decline to answer any question, decline services, or stop working with Grateful Heart at any time, without affecting your ability to seek help elsewhere.

3. How We Handle Your Information

The information and documents you provide are used only to assist with your intake and to connect you with appropriate resources. You keep all original documents; Grateful Heart retains copies only.

Your records are stored securely (locked cabinet or encrypted digital folder) and access is limited to authorized personnel. We do not photograph, email, or text your documents from personal devices.

We do not share your information with outside parties except as you separately authorize in a signed Release of Information (ROI) form, or as required by law.

4. Your Right to Revoke

You may revoke this consent in writing at any time. Revocation will not affect information already shared or actions already taken in reliance on this consent prior to revocation.
